Construction- BRI-FUSE Board Reinforcement: Brian's BRI-FUSE cuff-reinforcement is composed of sculpted high-density foams, layered atop with a high-impact thermo-plastic to give this blocker a rigid, yet lightweight core and long-lasting rebounds.
- Flared Board w/ Perimeter Bevelling: Complementing its rigid, high-pop board, the Optik 4 blocker's board is formed with a sharp flare to give rebounds a greater sense of directional control. To further its responsive feel, Brian's shaves excess material around the Optik 4 blocker's board with a gentle bevel, helping to reduce weight without compromising blocker surface area.
- Open Backhand: Redesigned from the Optik 3 blocker, Brian's debuts the Optik 4 with the removal of the floating cuff strap in favor of an open backhand. On the ice, this allows the Optik 4 blocker to pivot freely from the wrist while easing its fit adjustment and lightening its overall build.
Protection- High-density Sidewall & Thumb: To protect against stray pucks, the Optik 4 blocker's sidewall is internally laced to reduce flex between the board and its high-density foam construction.
- Squared Thumb Opening: Reshaped to improve stick control over the Optik 3 blocker, the Optik 4 blocker's thumb cutout debuts a wider, more squared shape.
- Removable Thumb Pillow: Easily removable with a Velcro attachment, a plush thumb pillow offers the option for additional padding between the sidewall and thumb.
