In the crease, CCM's asymmetric collar reduces rubbing and allows the goalie to hold a lower, wider stance more comfortably.; 7mm Felt Tongue w/ Molded Lace-bite Protection: Layered atop 7mm of felt padding, the EF6.9 skates' lace-bite protection is injection-molded into a flexible segmentation, improving comfort without inhibiting forward flex.

A silica-based particle blend, Polygiene® embeds itself within the lining's fibers, helping to prevent the growth and settlement of odor-causing bacteria.; OrthoLite® Footbed: Composed of 98% recycled rubber and plastic foam waste, the EF6.9 skates' OrthoLite® cushions the foot with a dense, open-cell foam padding bottom. Holder & Steel: SpeedBlade XSG Holder w/ 10F27 Profile Steel: CCM's SpeedBlade XSG holder not only allows goalies to hold a lower, more aggressive edge, but makes it easy to swap in fresh steels for every skate. Included with the EF6.9 skates, CCM's SpeedBlade XSG1 runners are cut with an aggressive, forward-leaning profile.

Size Chart

When you receive your skates, try them on and push your foot forward so that your toes (while flat) barely glance the toe cap. Bend your knee forward and look behind the heel of your foot down the skate. If you can fit a finger behind the heel easily, the skates are too big. A fingertip should be securely wedged between the heel of your foot and the back side of the skate.

While all players might have their own preference for fit, hockey skates should be 1 ½ sizes down from your shoe size. For most players this will be close to the proper fit. For example, if you are a U.S. Men’s shoe size 9, you would want to go with a skate size 7.5.
